The RIEK Network is structured as a federated academic network composed of national or regional chapters, which constitute the primary framework for scholarly coordination within each country or region.
The chapters bring together researchers and specialists affiliated with universities and research centers, promoting the development of academic activities in coherence with the general purposes of the RIEK Network.
Each chapter enjoys organizational and regulatory autonomy to define its internal structure, procedures, and academic standards, provided that these do not contravene the guiding principles or the limits established by the General Statutes.
For formal recognition, a chapter shall be required to have:
• Its own statutes and internal regulations.
• Individually identified members.
• One representative and one alternate representative to the General Assembly.
• Associated academic institutions.
• An annual plan of academic activities.
Chapters are responsible for the editorial management of their respective sections within the RIEK Network’s digital ecosystem and for the development of their academic activities in accordance with the institutional principles of the Network.
The raising of funds or the assumption of financial commitments in the name of the RIEK Network shall require express authorization in accordance with the General Statutes, in order to ensure transparency and institutional coherence.
The RIEK Network maintains academic dialogue with researchers from various regions of the Ibero-American sphere with a view to the future establishment of new chapters.
