What is the RIEK Network?

The RIEK Network is an international academic network aimed at consolidating a platform for research and dissemination specialized in the study of the work of Hans Kelsen and the representatives of the Vienna School of Legal Theory. In this context, the RIEK Network brings together universities, research centers, and scholars in legal theory with the aim of promoting scientific exchange, international cooperation, and the development of long-term editorial and research projects within the Ibero-American sphere.

Institutional Structure

The RIEK Network is structured as a federated network of national and regional chapters, coordinated within a common institutional framework. Each chapter develops its own academic activities in accordance with the general objectives of the RIEK Network.

RIEK Network Congresses

The First Congress of the Ibero-American Network for the Study of Hans Kelsen and the Vienna School of Legal Theory (RIEK) took place on 4, 5, and 6 February 2026 in Bogotá and Medellín (Colombia), constituting the first international academic meeting of the RIEK Network.

Ibero-American Scope and International Projection
